Soccer World Suffers Loss in Brazilian Plane Crash

chapecoenseA plane crash transporting Brazilian Chapecoense soccer team to Medellin, Colombia, has crashed overnight. It carried 81 people, with at least six people believed to have survived. The others are presumed dead. The chartered plane was carrying 72 passengers and 9 crew members. Chapecoense team was scheduled to play the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana final against Atletico Nacional on Wednesday in Medellin. This is a sad day and a national disaster for Brazil, and a great loss for the soccer world globally.
